Mid-Year Academy

I am in Charleston today at the Center for Professional Development. I am attending the Globaloria Mid-Year Academy along with other principals and school superintendents. We have a very full agenda for the day. We are looking at the Globaloria Curriculum like the wikis and blogs, looking at how students researched civics/global topics to create a game, exploring the Civics Games Competition with Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, look at some video clips and planning for Globaloria for next school year. We are also going to work just a little in Flash and gaming. I hope the 7th grade students are thinking about taking part in Globaloria for the 8th grade. It won't be long until we start registering for 8th grade and continuing with Globaloria would be great! Think about taking Globaloria 2...
